Recently, I decided to transfer my children out of public school and teach them at home. I’ve been working hard to put together a curriculum for academic subjects, like math, English, history, and science, but I realized that I needed to add more arts education to the lineup.
I looked into some of the local options and found out that my city is full of art galleries, theaters, and concert halls that I’d never even been to before. I even found several low-cost options for art, music, and drama classes. I started this blog to share some of my finds with other parents who are looking to enrich their children’s arts educations. It turns out that there are a lot of opportunities for kids to get involved in the arts if you know where to look.
